A Revelation!

I had previously began to scan Shadowmancer by G.P. Taylor however hadn't gotten in too abundant} before I set it aside therefore I wasn't expecting much out of his new series. The quote on the rear cowl of the book calling G.P. Taylor, "The new C.S. Lewis" did not facilitate either. Yet, generally out of nowhere there comes a revelation. after I opened the key of Indigo Moon, book 2 within the Dopple Ganger Chronicles I had one amongst those moments.
The story is customary fare for youth fiction. A young man and his twin friends live at a college for abandoned kids and come upon a theft and judge to research. Enter their enemy from the primary book, in conjunction with a soft-hearted henchman, and a forged of attention-grabbing if unoriginal characters and you've got the ingredients for a story that any middle schooler would get pleasure from. however it wasn't the story that was the revelation. it had been the presentation.
Open the book and you immediately end up in an incredible world of line art, comic book pages, fantastic fonts and typeset pages. Illustrations provide kind to the characters that imagination will generally leaves incomplete. Huge two-page drawings, just like the clock on page a pair of and three, cause the reader to change between reading to deciphering (you need to tell the time yourself,) and then back to reading on page four then to comics on pages five and half dozen. The multimedia expertise keeps the reader concerned from the beginning. I loved it!
It appears that anyone will write a young adult fantasy judging from the quantity of latest titles on any bookstore shelf. however one thing totally different|completely different} will serve to urge a young adult who maybe does not scan to become a scaner or those provide people who prefer to read one thing different. G.P. Taylor is not the new C.S. Lewis however he did come back up with an excellent plan for a series of books.
